Rockstar’s June 24 announcement, published by Take-Two, set GTA VI pre-orders to begin at midnight local time on June 25. It named November 19, 2026 for launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The same release gave digital buyers a November 12 preloading date. It also described the physical version as a box containing a download code, available from November 12 to support preloading. That detail matters when choosing a format: a box does not, in this announcement, mean a game disc.

For a planned purchase, keep the platform, the preload date and the contents of the chosen format together. These are the terms of the June announcement. The linked official release and any later publisher update are the references when checking a retailer’s listing.
