Privacy notice.
Last updated: . This notice explains what After Hours Dispatch, an independent unofficial GTA fan site, collects when you read it or contact it, why, how long it keeps it, and how to ask for access, correction or deletion.
Who is responsible
The data controller is After Hours Dispatch (Australia), who runs this site. Send privacy questions and requests through the contact page.
Reading the site
This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies, runs no visitor tracking scripts and does not sell or share reader information. Fonts and images are served from this site. Reading an article does not load an external video player.
Searching an archive puts your search words and filter in the page address. They can appear in your browser history and in hosting logs, so keep personal information out of searches.
Hosting and security logs
The site is hosted by Hostinger, whose content delivery network sits in front of it. Delivering a page involves connection information such as your IP address, the requested address, the time and your browser’s description of itself. Hostinger may keep access, error and security logs to operate and protect the site, and application faults may be recorded for diagnosis. These logs never contain the text of contact messages.
We have not verified a fixed retention period for Hostinger’s logs and do not promise one here. Hostinger explains its processing in its privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
Source links and click-to-load YouTube
Publisher, creator and share links take you to another service when you choose them. That service receives connection information and applies its own privacy policy. A link on this site does not load the other site’s scripts or cookies.
Where a verified YouTube player is available, it loads only after you choose to load it. It uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player and does not autoplay. Loading it connects your browser to YouTube, which can process connection and playback information, may set cookies or similar storage, and may show advertising in its player. Removing the player from the page does not erase what YouTube already received. You can use the original watch link instead. See Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
How content is made, and what the AI services receive
The site’s automation runs on GitHub Actions and uses these services to make content:
- Ollama Cloud runs the AI models that draft automated news and the daily fiction.
- TypeSafe checks drafted news automatically against its two linked sources before publication.
- Jina Reader fetches the text of the official source pages that news is drafted from.
- Runware generates the labelled fiction illustrations from a fixed list of scene words.
These services receive public source pages, prompts and drafts. They never receive anything about readers: no contact messages, email addresses, IP addresses, cookies or search words are sent to them. GitHub receives only counts of waiting contact messages by topic, so the owner knows to look; never their text or senders.
The contact form
When you use the contact form we keep the topic you choose, your message, and, if you give them, the page on this site it is about and an email address to reply to. A reply address is required for privacy requests and copyright or legal notices, because we cannot answer them otherwise. We use these details only to read and answer your message and to act on it.
Messages are stored privately on the site’s hosting account. They are not emailed anywhere, not sent to any AI service, not published and not included in the site’s own backups. Only the owner reads them, in a private owner panel. Each message is deleted automatically 90 days after it arrives, or sooner if you ask. Hostinger’s own backups of the hosting account may hold a copy for as long as Hostinger keeps those backups.
To stop abuse, the form limits how many messages one connection can send. It keeps a keyed fingerprint derived from your IP address (for IPv6, from its network part) for 24 hours; the address itself is not stored by the form. The form also uses a hidden trap field and a short delay check to discard automated spam.
Cookies
This site sets only strictly necessary cookies. They hold random values, are not used for tracking, and are not shared.
| Name | Purpose | When it is set | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
__Host-ahd_contact | Contact-form security: proves a message was sent from this site’s own form, not forged by another site. | When you open the contact page. | 2 hours |
__Host-ahd_owner | Owner sign-in: keeps the site’s owner signed in to the private owner panel. | Only when the owner signs in. Readers never receive it. | Until sign-out; at most 12 hours |
__Host-ahd_owner_pre | Owner sign-in security: proves the sign-in form was sent from the owner panel itself. | Only when the owner sign-in or setup page is opened. Readers never receive it. | 1 hour |
__Host-ahd_owner_device | Owner sign-in protection: lets the owner’s own browser keep signing in while strangers are guessing at the owner panel. It is not a sign-in by itself. | Only when the owner finishes setup or signs in. Readers never receive it. | 90 days |
ahd_edge_probe | A temporary technical check that the hosting network passes cookies correctly. | Only at an unlinked diagnostic address. | 10 minutes |
Cookies are sent only over HTTPS, cannot be read by page scripts, and are never sent with requests from other sites. YouTube’s own cookies, described above, are set by YouTube and only after you load a player.

Access, correction and deletion
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Use the contact page with the topic “Privacy request” and give an email address we can answer. Because we keep so little, we will usually search the contact inbox for the address you give. We may ask a question to confirm a request is yours. We aim to answer within one month.
Where data protection law applies to you, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
We will update this notice when the site’s data handling changes. The date above identifies this version.
